Just curious-
I have the red with gold brocade inserts interior in my car.
They're fun and expensive! to find replacement covers for- and mine are generally in good shape... save for the rear seat top.
After sitting in the texas sun for a year or two before i got it- the top of my seat cover is bleached out pink.
Just the top of the bench upper portion.
Has anybody had any success with dyes or paints that color restore cooper upholstery?

My 61 mini was stored under a tarpaulin and the red upholstery panels suffered as a result. They finished up a sort of brown colour. I'd like to restore the original interior if I can rather than resorting to a new Newton interior. I found some of the original red on the reverse side of one of the panels and sent it to a company in the UK called the Leather Doctor. They made up 1/2l of a water based dye that I've used to recolour the red panels. The picture shows the before and after examples. The dye goes a long way and it just took two coats to get an even finish. You probably have companies in the US that can offer a similar service. Or if your panels are spanish red I could send you a few ml which would probably be enough.
