Hi
I'm modifying a later front panel to fit my 1960 Mini that does not have the skirt cut outs.
I need the earlier type number plate brackets that are narrower and located further apart than the later ones.
Spares suppliers only have the later type .
I have no pattern to copy - does anyone know if the early ones are identical apart from the width?
If so, I could cut the later ones down to fit.
Anyone have exact dimensions?
Thanks
Pete

Re: Early number plate bracket
They should be 22mm wide.
The new wider ones are a fairly close profile.

Re: Early number plate bracket
432mm or 17 inch centres. I've got a few pairs here if required. Changed to the wider versions '74 onwards.

Pete, you can't go wrong with Bob's brackets....however, if you want to try making a set....the wider ones are pretty well identical. I use them all the time...think I get two sets from each one.sogatha wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 9:38 am Hi
