It doesn't matter who says it, the BBC (or in fact specialists interviewed by the BBC) or Darth Vader, you can't change scientific fact, Hydrogen apparently isn't going to work in the long term.

It interesting what Toyota said, they can make 8 x Hybrid cars, for every battery powered car and hence they would rather direct their resources to Hybrid vehicles, I can't find the source at this time, but it makes sense, even if Hybrid as just as loathsome as electric cars

Anyway it's all bollocks, let's just enjoy burning the fossil fuels in our minis while we can! :D

They also just don't and not likely to have in the next 100+ years going to come within a bulls roar for energy density of hydrocarbon or straight hydrogen fuels. Batteries are not future.
Maybe this is the future ?

1 gram of radioactive Nickel-63 costs around 4,000 USD

It seems things with Hydrogen are further along than I thought earlier. Japan is have a major transition towards it over the next few years;-

https://www.mfat.govt.nz/en/trade/mfat- ... mber-2023/

" What are Japan's focus areas for hydrogen ?

Hydrogen supply (hydrogen production, construction of hydrogen supply chain)
Decarbonised power generation
Fuel cells
Direct use of hydrogen (decarbonised steel, decarbonised chemicals, hydrogen-fuelled vessels)
Utilisation of hydrogen compounds (fuel ammonia, carbon recycling products) "

I think the answer to the title of the thread is YES the bubble has burst, whether this is a temporary thing or not remain to be seen, EVS are piling up in China unsold (parked in fields and waste ground) and the price of Lithium has crashed 80%.

Prepare for some very cheap EVs being dumped on the market from China - they may of spent some time in a field though

Really, HTF is this good for global warming, making cars en masse that are not wanted or needed using fossil fuel generated electric
