Found above racing Austin Mini (Cooper S ?) mk1 in another forum.
Does anybody know it and about it?

I kinda like the style, which might be an eyesore for the purists.

What are your thoughts. Worth buying if the price is right?

Buy it!
Depending on engine and gearbox spec it could be a fun drive on twisty roads early weekend mornings, or trackdays?
Not the biggest fan on deseasming, but better get it back up running than gathering dust in a garage?

Re: Does AOR637A de-seemed race Mk1 Austin ring anyones bell?
I had a chance to talk to the widow of the last owner.
She said it was raced in the past (60ies, 70ies maybe) in UK by a more-or-less famous racing driver called "REED" or "READ"
suppose it's not Phil Read, or did he race cars too? The lady said the previous owner was kind of well known in motorsports, but she could not tell more.
I will go and check the car once we can travel abroad again. Until then, can anyone shed more light on this Mr. Reed?
