I thought that green 998 Cooper was a cracker, not sure I'd have wanted to pay nearly 15 grand for it though.

I would have been very tempted by the white dolomite sprint - wish I still had my racer!!

Count me in too with the white Dolly Spring Andy. Magnificent machine - providing that you didn't let the engine frighten you. Love 'em to bits

The “ original” right hand tank made out of a left hand tank and the “original” mixture of pedals to name but two.

I think it’s a Serck tank that’s had a sender added.

Aren't Serck tanks more angular? Not sure what it is or why it needs its own sender unit. That speedo - you'd think at least that would be correct....

Do you think they'll swap the cord door pulls and throw in some chrome door levers if I win it

It's always surprising that with the level of information available on these cars so many end up with poor details that could be easily sorted, the red one at iconic looks to be at best a Cooper with S badges, or at worst a standard car with an S identity on it.

A really nice, original BMC Austin 7 Engine poster for your collection. "Some patina".

That’ll go for very strong money won’t if you can register it. Special and very desirable car for sure but way too much “mythical” and “legendary” going on there for me, like there was in the book.

Ditto :)

Having said that, it is a REALLY special car, that I am sure a lot of people will be lusting after.

Interesting location for the car now too, far away from where it was for many years.

I would love it, though I would prefer to have the development car as that could be used rather than preserved.
