Makes you wonder... why is a professional outfit (Race And Revival Motorsport aka GB Mini Garage which is dealing in dozens of Minis) bothering with this thing at all? It's not as if the supposed 1960 date has even added anything to the price. As a great condition late-70's van it'd already be worth the asking price. So why risk listing it as "the oldest van in existence" which is bound to attract attention and get you called out on it?
It still has a foglight and the square "Mini 95" badge on the back. Even Arthur Daley would have made more effort than that.

I'm sure that somewhere in the UK is a special school where car salesmen and estate agents - and maybe wishy-washy defence solicitors go to to learn the art of writing pure twaddle to bamboozle the gullible public. This van salesmans guff should have started with 'Once upon a time.....' and ended after all that rambling, with '......and they all lived happily ever after'

as mentioned above, looks like a nice van at reasonable price - but all the BS actually detracts.....a case of less is morePeter Laidler wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 10:17 am I'm sure that somewhere in the UK is a special school where car salesmen and estate agents - and maybe wishy-washy defence solicitors go to to learn the art of writing pure twaddle to bamboozle the gullible public. Yes everything is wrong on it - seats , headlining, interior mirror, sunvisors, door cards, heater, switch panel, speedo , steering column. And thats without looking under the bonnet...Zero effort to make it look like a MK1 so why bother with the pretense?

Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s

It is very nice, in my opinion of limited enjoyment though, if you drive it, you devalue it…..maybe why its passed through a number of owners ?

Yes lovely, I remember seeing it at Mini shows in the 90s but always thought it had been restored. Quick question about GTs, when did they bring in dual circuit brakes, and when did they delete the bootboard?

Seems to be an endless supply of "1960's" "road legal" "re-shelled" cars. But they can't stay under the radar forever. Judging by a lot of ads for cars like this, ringing is already being used as an occasional wheeze to dodge ULEZ and congestion charges. And when money is involved, suddenly the authorities wake up. So how long before every photo of a 'historic' car snapped by cameras in London gets a quick once-over from a knowledgable person, looking for obvious external signs of the car's real age, so as to nip it in the bud? At which point DVLA will start making a proper effort to come down on them. Likely with a crusher.

"Austin Cooper" badged.
Twice-wrong - it "is" an 848 Morris.
White, apparently. My old eyes playing me up again.
