I found a set of the Red MG belts for my Mini Special.

they were very dirty, with mould and all sorts of things growing on/in them

I made a bucket of warm water, mixed with shower soap - washing up soap - normal house cleaning soap - etc, and let them soak overnight,
they came out clean, and smelled good again

As above, stuck em in hot water and washing powder over night, rinsed off and left to dry, came up like new.

Not directly related, but another top tip for cleaning old mk 1 screen wash bottles is stick em in the dish washer ! But put it in on its own :D .
