that is rather lovely, isn't it - but they might have tucked the bootlid retaining wire in for the photo!

The white Mk2 was a bit of a bargain for someone? I'm sure we'll see it re offered with a significant mark up soon

Unusual features on that Mk3(!) and of course all the experts on Facebook stating how cheap the Mk1 S was without noticing it’s been deseamed, which can knock a big chunk off the value.

I'm not surprised that the first 2 failed to sell if they were expecting 4 or 5k each. The grey '61 850 would have been a better buy.
As Pete says, a lot of work to put the seams back on - and who knows what is under that shiny paint. Not that first time that car's been offered is it.

You're dead right OEW. Under the shiny paint of a de-seamed car is usually - not always of course - a metallurgical nightmare of patched steel covered with a not so thin skim of filler

I love the ACA auctioneer talking those cars up !

I reckon that was Enfield in North London, but I'm just guessing.

Surely Mathewsons should spot that a mile off and refuse to sell it as a 1967 car

I rather agree with you. I can just hear Derek saying "It looks a very level little car"
Such a blatant ringer as that shouldn't be offered by any professional outlet who wish to be taken seriously in the classic car business.
