Harewood Hillclimb, 06/08/23. Montague Burton..

Post by tweedy998 »

Just been checking the entry list as the weather's not looking too bad for this tomorrow so we may brave the drive over in Tweed. Looks like there's some familiar names going up the hill! :)

A great day out, with Tweed equipping himself impeccably on the 120mile round trip (his first visit back to Harewood after the cylinder head malarky last year!) Great to see plenty of Mini's old (and newer) on the hill - sorry not to say hi Steve, but we didn't make it to that part of the paddock, we enjoyed watching you and your lad come up the hill though. Also same to Mark, I passed by a few times, but you were always deep in conversation and I didn't want to be rude and but in. The wind was a bit chilly for August and the freak rainstorm on the way home was pretty nerve wracking but all in all it was good to have the car out for a good run and enjoy the spectacle.

Cheers Steve, I saw that Nick just pipped you. This is the first time I have beaten Adam fair & square for a very long time! I'm sure it won't last.

Was good to see you. M
