Just incase you are thinking of buying these JS parts, keep in mind they will not fit in the original airbox holes.
The diameter is to large to fit in the holes, I had a pair of these as well but had to sell them again.

Great car indeed! Personally I would’ve polished what was there, then had the wings painted to match though!

A bit like when I had to replace a door on my Traveller. I asked the shop to paint it to match the rest of the car.
I wasn't really insulted when they asked "which particular bit did I want them to match it to"
Cheers, Ian

Indeed, a machine polish would have it looking better, still have patina, just shiny patina!mini_surfari wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 9:39 pm Great car indeed! Personally I would’ve polished what was there, then had the wings painted to match though!

ebay 266276831950 "Genuine 1964 Pickup" that'll 'be worth £25K when completed.'
I'm far from being a Mini geek, but I have questions... late sub-frame mounts, late bonnet hinges, no rad shield, alternator-mounts cast on the block, Verto clutch, remote or rod gearbox, Mk2 window-catches. I wonder how much of it - other than the paperwork - dates to '64?

You're right. The 1964 parts could be contained in a carrier bag. And probably were.

Oh dear. He seems to have "gone straight" now? That appears to be quite a straightforward sale. How disappointing
