That car should win an award for the panel gaps
Looks horrific everywhere even at a cursory glance

Or even Ratners
Might be more appropriate given the amount of Brinks Mat gold still sloshing around out there. Allegedly.
God knows but they've just got themselves a heap of free adverts with Mini Magazine writing about their hugely overpriced and misdescribed cars every month. They clearly know nothing about cars but plenty about money. Aren’t JD back sponsoring Goodwood aswell?

As rough as a bear's arse. It looks like the bonnet badge is migrating North, across the roof and onto the bootlid.

Mike Cooper owned that car for a couple of years about four years ago before some billionaire bought it and JD have now doubled its value plus Vat. How much crap are they prepared to spout to shovel more wonga in, they’re making similarly wild claims about the Radford hatch they’ve put a quarter of a million price tag on hoping to catch another billionaire in their net.
"And if that wasn't enough.............."
Don't tell me. John Cooper himself might actually have leant on the car once.
Ahh that old chestnut.😆. That’s a ‘Mike Brewerism’ isn’t it. Added about £20k to its selling price at auction, despite Mike Cooper’s intervention. Good luck to all of them, there’s bound to be someone daft and/or rich enough to buy all that bullshit as happened with the totally fake works Mini that went through Silverstone auctions last year but ultimately most know they’re all p*ssing in the same pot, and all just in it for the money.

Contrary to popular opinion, you can get the staff.

Unfortunately, they won't pay for them.

Pay peanuts, get halfwits.

With a bonnet gap like that I would imagine you could do a full engine swap without so much as lifting it :D

Loving the way they have let in a beautiful local repair for the oversize Weber box I suspect it had fitted at some point in its life
This car should be on Copart as a Category B.
And I don't see no washer bottle... eek!

Did you notice the rear view shot with bootlid closed look at the line of the bootlid against the bumper

My favourite part of this car has to be the bottom of the A panels where they meet the door step.
I wonder if this body resto was paid for ie 'professionally' done or if it was an enthusiast?

Windscreen demister vent pipes external to dash liners is a new early feature for me...

As has been pointed out this '59 Mini has a few problem areas to say the least...I would worry what else was under that shiny modern paint finish unless the price reflected that high risk....plus there are probably many more problems to be found that can't be seen just by zooming in on the photos.

Hard to tell from photos but according to the 1959 Mini Register factory roof gutter drip rails appeared in May 1960 but pop riveted drip rails could be retro fitted by dealers and these look different to the factory type with the rivets visible:-

A genuine Neville Trickett original Siva Edwardian is currently being offered by Mathewson's.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but Nev did quite a few of these in the early 70's. Most notably for Dr Who.

I do like that! Very much the look we're going for with ours but the engine spec is a bit more exotic on ours.
Wanna see what I'm playing with? Youtube Channel
Caution ;) may contain 8 Ports, Xe's and VTec's, I don't do standard!
