Not quite the same as circuit racing or rallying but does anyone have any photos from Silverstone Sprint on the 26/10/74, i think they held several sprints there in the 70s

Patrick Watts is listed as coming 2nd in Class 1D in a 998 Cooper S, other names I recognise but the results file is too large to paste

Re: 1960 / 70's Mini Racing Photos
I have found these photos from 1981:
It is the Maguire Mini of Peter Wartenberg on its first outing in a German race event. Up to then it was not possible to race a car in Germany that had fallen out of the FIA-homologation, i.e. five years after the last car of the series had been produced. Therefore the German motorsport authoritiy introduced a new national category of cars, named group H (for Hobby-Car). The rules were more or less the no more existent group 5 of heavily modified touring and GT cars.
The event took place on the start-finish-loop of the old Nürburgring.

Re: 1960 / 70's Mini Racing Photos
After the race I spoke to Peter who said that the scrutineers had let him drive on condition that he had to modify the bonnet as the old group 5 regulation stipulated that at any time the bonnet could be exchanged for a standard one. Somehow Peter managed to squeeze the engine under a bonnet that looked like the original one for later events he took part in.
