C&C advert no C1582019 = 64 Cooper S with Dealer.. blurb describes this car as having a "works" Engine Block with internal strengthening used exclusive by the Works.. what ever is all that about ?

Its probably referred to the later thin flange block with the beefed up centre main bearing web .
It was introduced into production cars sometime in late 65 or early 66
