Then there was a round of the European Historic Touring Car Championship for cars up to 1965.
You know these two? On the front is Berlin gardener Dieter Dahlemann, in the 70s vice-champion in the German hillclimb championship on a Longman-850. And the one pointing his finger at something non other than Richard Longman himself. Afaik late Longman's wife is/was the sister of Dahlemann.

I remember the Donington round very well in 95. Norman Grimshaw roasted a pig on the balcony of one of the boxes there, the whole grid was at the party. Dahleman definitely learned a thing or two about Norman’s sense of humour and WW2 jokes a plenty. 
I had a cast on my arm after my crash at Goodwood. 
Longman I think got pole in what he described as a 1071, loudest Mini I’d ever heard to that point!!

This was a Dunlop-Japan special: 200/490-10. On the side wall was still 160/490-10. They simply put two 20mm distance rings between the moulds. Do not know if this was ever offered commercially.

1996 was the frist time the M7RC Series stopped at Francorchamps with the Rover Raceday along with the Rover Turbo and Caterham 7. On-track photos again difficult because the spectators are so far off the track.
