1071 Speedo, but with voltage stabiliser??
Was this a late modification perhaps? I was always under the impression that the speedo changed when the stabilised system came in???
Edit to say that the stabiliser seems to be on the earthing pin??

Looks like it was used in a later car that was fitted with a stabilizer and this was the most convenient solution. It’s also been fitted with the later fuel gauge.

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
I am about to put my tool kit/roll on flea bay.
Complete kit as per those days with a few extra period lovelies.
Monies from sale to be spent on a good cause.
I do not have any idea what it is worth but would say that you should buy this stuff for love, not investment!
If anyone on this forum finds it and refers to it to folk here, and if, thus, a member here buys it, I will throw in the original owners manual.
Challenge laid.
You have to admit this is pretty cool marketing which get around all the forum rules!!
Thanks Mark,
We love you!

Please don't laugh at the price, it is a guess!
You can however laugh at the "Cooper" in the title, there is absolutely no reason for it but it seems a requirement for all mini related items on eBay!

Very nice original early van. One owner! And you see some nice period 60s accessories! Seems not bad at all in terms of rust!

Lovely van. Like the chrome headed bolts through the top of the B pillar for the top seatbelt mount. They were included in special 3rd party seat belt kits for Minis that had no built in mounting points. Originally the fuel cap would have been painted and vans were only fitted with one wing mirror as standard. Most people added the second one. No carpets but rubber mat. Great fun to drive back then.

A new V5 was issued for it a couple of years ago, so it should still be "live" shouldn't it?

Purchasing a set of steel caps from swiftune plus the cost of good line boring will prove a shock to your wallet!

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
I don’t really care what people do with these old logbooks, you pays your money and you takes your chances but judging by the asking prices these are clearly being used to make into cars. I can see why people do it, especially if your building a racer but lots of logbooks have been appearing on EBay recently that have clearly been altered and overwritten. Just sayin. Bit of a gamble.
