Some photos I took in the paddock around the same period, of the Steve Bell (W&P) & Mickey Bray (Modified Insurance) "Tyrrell" team Mini Sevens in your photos, are posted earlier in the thread here:- http://mk1-forum.net/viewtopic.php?p=136794#p136794
Before I continue with the photos of competition Minis one word about the events we competed here in 1993.
First there was the Classic Club Race Association that was made up of different Belgian one make car clubs like the MG owners club Antwerp, the Fiat Belgio etc. who organised a race a Zolder racetrack but only for makes of the clubs. So the first CCR was without Minis as no Mini Club belonged to the organising clubs. Later different car clubs from the Netherlands and Germany were part of organising clubs as well as the Mini Racing Organisation that came out of Mini Club Belgium. The MRO was headed by Jean-Pierre Moretti and since then Minis from all countries could participate. We drove at Zolder of course within the CCR but also at the Belgian Historc Grand Prix and were part of the Jaguar Race Day at Francorchamps. But there were only few events and so a lot of Mini drivers from the Netherlands and Germany became members of the newly founded "Historische Auto Ren Club" HARC in NL who organised events in Zandvoort, Assen motorcycle track and on an airfield near Enschede.

Apologies for the photos of non-Minis but at Assen there were so many beautiful cars and the MG and Spitfire surely belonged to my favourites.
Somewhere around this time I visited the Motor Heritage Museum at Gaydon. Here I liked the March Formula 3 with the Dolomite engine very much. Hope you pardon my going a little off-topic here.

So it was Classic Club Race time again at Zolder in 1993:
The Mini of Michel Simon from Charleroi whom at that time I did not know closer but later we competed in the same class up to 1000cc in Belgian hillclimbs (course de cote):

This is the stand of British Expat Brian Witty who lived in Schagen in Noord Holland and ran his little business "Mainly Minis" and was always there where we competed or on a Mini Meeting:

Here in conversation with Peter Wartenberg (right) who used to drive his Maguire Mini in the Wendy Wools Special Saloon Car Championship. He lives near Mönchengladbach with his British wife but due to a heart desease could not drive in competition any more.

In January 1994 I had the silly idea to go to the Racing Car Show in Birmingham. Well, some friends of mine found this very cool and would go with me. But this was planned to be a one day trip or more or less of it. We started with four people on a friday afternoon and drove to Calais taking a night ferry to Dover having a litte nap on board; early in the morning we arrived at Dover and took the road to Oxford where we had a short break for breakfast at the big "M" next to the motorway and started off to Birmingham arriving there when the gates opened:

After the show we sat off from Birmingham back home taking the night ferry to Calais taking a nap and then non-stop back to where we lived in the Eifel hills. We arrived on Sunday morning and on Monday everybody could go to work the normal way. It was absolutely mad but it was really cool and so I had at least been to the Birmingham Racing Car Show once in my life!

During my holiday 1991 I collected a set of 970S conrods & pistons from this guy whose name I cannot remember but he had two interesting cars in his barn. One of them not a Mini, sorry:
1993 IMM the Netherlands, I took these pictures myself. The name of that guy was as I remember well was Giovanni Percossi.
Could well be this Giovanni Percossi from the Trieste area?!

Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s
