AGU 780B Does it still survive?

Watching the You Tube '65' Monte footage, one of the stars was AGU 780B - BMC Sweden Cooper 'S'. Does this car still exist and are there any photos?

I understand this car has survived (in Sweden) and was being restored by its current owner. Unfortunately, I had this information from a third party a while ago and he could not provide any other details on the car. Hopefully, the owner will come out of the woodwork at some point himself with the car.

Cheers for the photo Pete! I've an idea that VFF may look something like that as a finished car! The your old dash panel will add to the look I reckon!

I think you will find repro chassis plates have a curve in the 7.

Does the 'L' normally go before the '-' on the chassis number? Seems to be the case for the plates I have seen, but not sure if this was always the case?

Always make me wonder when you see a chassis plate that ‘aged’ why it is like it, as it’s not like between the radiator and inner wing is a high wear area, the plates on the slam panel you understand with people leaning over them etc.

That was my instant reaction. That is a repro chassis plate that has been aged.

The plate on mine has been screwed to the slam panel for over 30 years. It’s also been painted over which I scraped off with a razor blade. Apart from a hint of island blue round the numbers and a couple of scratches it’s pretty much as it left the factory.

And thats in an area that has the potential to have higher wear, the plate shown just looks like someone has tried to age it.
