Identifying primary gear
I have located these primary gears new old stock but i cannot find a reference to their part no in my books.
\I suspect early !960 /63 850 or 997 mini. The internal size is 1.375
Any help appreciated. They will be surplus to my requirements someone may identify and need.

Re: Identifying primary gear
I'm pretty sure that's 62-ish 850, after they ceased the oil fed gear but still had the thin tails. I think they only did them like that for about a year.

I suspect there was a change in part number when they fitted the metal backed front bush in them,,, which would have been long long after they were fitted in production,,,,,,

Thanks for identifying for me They will be for sale; I don't have a use for them.dont have a small crank 850. Now that they are identified reflecting back, they came from a closed BMC dealer some years ago. and i suspect would have been brought into nz , as the wet clutches from the early sixties where being replaced along with this primary gear.

It's nice to see and have that sort of stuff in the BMC and British Leyland boxes, just because.......well, you know.

A Deva bush replacement primary gear? That would explain the NOS on the shelf. Remember to soak it in oil for 24 hrs before installation. Is there a stock of taper pins as well?
