The days before laminated screens! (Shattered toughened screen photo taken in 1963 by John Martins).
The temporary screen solution...kept rolled up in the boot.

Ex army mini 06 EP 49 (1966/67 at a guess) relegated for use as a motor club rally car. Ex Army, RAF & Navy mini's were dirt cheap at the auctions and they often came with right hand tanks as standard too.
A lot of them seem to end up in and around Oxford where a big ex surplus dealer on Boars Hill used to buy them from auction at Ruddington

There's a real mini in front, proper patching and painting of the bottom of the doors by the looks of things. Not something you'd see these days
