The bloke with the wheelbarrow is looking for the £36 relating to the mini in the background, that BMC say they lost on every mini they produced.

That's a cracking looking blonde in Costas photos. Are we allowed to say that nowadays.........?

Cowley factory as it once was looking north along the Eastern bypass.
(To get bearings today: the Tesco retail Park is lower right, BMW MINI Plant Oxford upper right, Audi Dealership, etc upper left by the bridge crossing the road, Business Park lower left).

Cowley Plant "A Building" which is located at 3 o Clock just on north right side of the Roundabout on the Oxford Eastern Ring Road ( A Building is still there today BMW ) When i became a Pressed Steel Millwright in A Building my income jumped by £10 per week on Nights and that extra Tenner got me onto my 1st Mortgage . not so happy days when Ted Heath & cronies put us on a 3day Week ( time of Blackouts & Miners Strike ) so it was time to Jack.

This used to be quite a common sight.....Morris Minor bottom trunnion failure (or in this case Austin!)
Also looks like it happened during a 1970's dustman's strike.

At work in the 1970s, we quite often took the breakdown truck out - with it's Harvey Frost crane on the back - to drag an old Morris Minor in. The bottom link coming out was a sure sign of complete neglect as they only require simple regular lubrication. That Minor van certainly looks a neglected thing doesn't it and was unlikely to be 10 years old at the time. Like Mini Vans, they were pretty much worthless at the time but look at their values now
