Hello, here is my incar footage for historic rally in two weeks ago.
This was first rally for this new car and this years first to me,so its not professional driving :D I was my class fifth,13 cars started in my class,so im happy with this result and this was "blind rally". Average speed was about 100 km/h.

Hi FF70,
Such a beautiful footage.
It's known all over the that Finland has the most beautifull 'gravel' rallystages in the world.
It makes me think back at the famous 'Rally of the 1000 lakes'.
We can only dream of such a beautiful stages. You guy's are blessed.
I can only imagine how it would be to drive stages like that in a Mini.
I just can't stop looking at it ! :)
What's the name of the rally, and in what part of Finland was the rally ?
Cheers,
Dieter.

Nunecos

Here is one pic of car,it has taken in Jyväskylä hillclimb in Laajavuori,we drive same stage that "big boys" in this year Neste Rally 8-)

Car is build with FIA rules, based on homologation 1300.

Dieter

We are pleased, because some rallyes has same stages that was driven in -60/-70 Rally of 1000 lakes. This rally was Autoglym rally, drive near of Tampere.
I live about 60km off Jyväskylä,so nearest 1000 lakes/Neste rally stage is quite near off me (6km) :D

Here is couple videolinks in that rally

Hello,
car is nowadays modified to 970 S engine.

Here is step1 to this engine and you can see result here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ2gQJ3T ... e=youtu.be

Fotos are before last setup. Engine dont include nothing "hitech",just basic parts and of course finnish knowledge

Dont know what is good result for this type of engine,if some on have your own dyno sheet, please tell me ?!

We have couple of good ideas to get it more power and torgue, but first we drive some rallyes this winter for test meaning.

Faaaaaaaaaaantastic! what amazingly smooth roads, not a pothole in sight, wish our tarmac here in West Yorkshire was a good as your gravel. Great driving.

best regards

Hallo Finland,
Well I must congratulate you to the worlds most oustanding power figure ever ashieved by a BMC 970S engine. You must be a reborne Vizard. You have even outdated the BMC F-3 1000cc factoty engines with Weber carb. early 60´ties. Not to talk about our own championship winning engines! But on the other hand we only use to spend 12K/£ on a complete unit so maybe we lack a bit there.

Good luck in future and keep the secret as it is ivaluable knowledge!

Why don't you guys fight it out at Velodromloppet in Juner??

(That is if you can beat the one with the Swiftune engine ;) :)

I think this means the plot shown is for a 1293 that was built by the same builder as the 970, not that this is a curve from the 970 :?:

Confused, you will be!! :geek:
