Interior Roof Light Mounting
I have purchased a used interior roof light for my 63 cooper but I am unsure of how these are supposed to be mounted? I recently had my headliner done before I sourced the light. Does it attach to a bracket of some sort on the frame of the headliner?

There should be a small metal plate in the headliner for it to screw into.

Yes, Woody is right. It is/was spot-welded in place along the central arch. Mine fell off too but I carefully soft soldered it back by as I recall, undoing the (rusty) staples Keep the plastic head-liner clear, cleaning the metal arch and carefully tinning both.

The plate is on the front section, the wires goes through the large diameter hole.
