Hi,

Many thanks for the nice comments concerning my project. The black fuel hoses are 6mm Gates multifuel hose 3225 which I think is rated at about 140PSI. Although the ends of the steel bundy tube are swagged I think some clips would be a good idea. The only info. I have on the metering unit is the Lucas Petrol Injection Mark 2 installation/calibration book which I think was on the MK1 site at one time. I would very much like to see the the Lucas drawing of the micrometer hand fuel control which is used to calibrate the fuel cam as spoken of in the book. To reposition the oil filter I made a casting as in the pictures. The camshaft is a Super Sprint 320/320 which I bought from Downton Eng. just before they closed down. Ray Sheppard told me that it was a spare that he had kept for the Britax injected engines. I have tried to build the engine "in period" as much as possible such as gas welded/ brazed exhaust manifold.

Paul

@georgesheep: Just out of curiousity and love for the mechanically fuel injected Minis - what happened to this project?

Throttle slide is a work of art and a use for old TD4 cylinders heads :D

Would love to hear the process you went through to make the slide, presumably a sand casting ?

How do you seal, isolate the slides from each other, or do you not need to?
