Mini's at Classic Car Show NZ

Post by 66S »

Hi,
Here are some photos of the local Mini Club stand at the Classic Car Show held last weekend. The little blue Basic is a one previous owner car with 26K miles, I did it up for my wife and the Cooper is a '63 997, also a low mileage car.

Regards
Al

Did the basics in NZ have the chrome / stainless wheel arch trim as factory spec?

They had the flat chrome/plastic trim and it was pop rivetted on. Austin and Morris Mini's were assembled here as well as Elf's and Hornet's (1969). I think Mini assembly ceased in 1982, may have been just a little later.

Hi Nunecos,
Fleck interiors ceased with NZ assembled Basic's in 1966.

Good work big guy. I enjoyed the show. Some nice cars on display. Can't beat those minis though!
