Re: Innocenti Mini Minor MK1 crossover
I remember hearing that one had come off the end of the production line like that - steering on one side and pedals on the other

Another interesting feature would be to put in a steering from a right hand car....

Re: Innocenti Mini Minor MK1 crossover
A few update shots from Chris who's finishing the bodywork (www.whights.co.uk). A few after blasting/sorting the roof and one in undercoat. While the shell has been away I've painted the engine and the last of the suspension parts...

Looking Very Nice
On the whole topic above about parts being fitted wrong
A friend of mine also a guy who taught me about classic cars told me back in 1970's when he worked at volvo they had a Car come in that kept pulling to the left hand side every time you braked so he took it out and was scared half to death he said when they got back and put it on the ramp and removed the wheels Passanger side had a drum brake and the drivers side had a Disc brake Haha.
Firday afternoon job there

Ye red oxide as per factory original, I'm not fussed but the guys painting it are insisting on it
Final coat will be a very dark green.

GREAT car, very much looking forward to seeing this one finished!
When I saw this one a while back I was very tempted! But the power that be wouldn't let me! Has somebody off here bought it? It was originally for sale for 6 thousand then it increased to the present price! Looks like it's sold though!

Re: Innocenti Mini Minor MK1 crossover
It had be done in Red oxide, we didnt have it when we got it back from the sand blasters, but to be fair most of it would have sanded off the outside anyway, but Chris and I decided before Andy came down for MITP we would red oxide some areas, then we finish off the underneath and put it back on the frame Andy got us, then carry on with the engine bay and boot area, then the inside. Getting there.

That red one is very nice!!
It looks like it might have been one of the very first crossover cars. The engine looks like the one in mine with the larger carb but it hasn't got the later internal door handles, can't see the heater which should be the later type and mine is on hydro.
Would love to know who's bought it.
