Camshafts without fuel pump cam lobe?
Have there been standard 848cc camshafts that did not have the cam lobe for driving a mechanical fuel pump? In particular for early engines in cars that had an electric fuel pump.

I had a 1961 Morris Traveller with electric Fuel Pump.
I guess it was original.
Also my 1965 Austin Countryman has a Electric one. Will have a look if the Engine has a Hole for a mechanical Pump...

They definitely made blocks without a fuel pump opening.
But the original question of whether the cam was also blank is beyond my knowledge

Me neither, so I guess that didn't exist. One more mystery clarified

And the cams that had a twin screw drive on them, this replaced the fuel pump drive. The second screw drive was for a sump pump on some of the inline racing engines, so original factory 544 cams do turn up in Mini's to this spec.

Here's 1, and it had AEG148 written on the paper it was wrapped in. The news paper was from 1984.
