Gutted not to make it, but that damn lower line is very persistent! Would have hated to think of passing it on, so I know it would have been wrong to risk it.
Glad you had a great time, and I WILL make it to Bo'ness, I'm sure!

Glad you enjoyed it Mark, it was very, very, busy on Sunday, and the queues in for the public looked horrific. No access or viewing of the paddock for us so couldn't come and say hello..
I'm well burnt again due to the sun and wind.
Run up and down the A7 was OK for us, me in the spare 8 port after the disaster on Saturday afternoon. Sunday evening drive back down a quiet a7 in a convoy of minis at good pace was the cherry on the top of a great event. We'll be back next year all being well and are already thinking about both days as there was just about too much to get round as it was.

Bloody lurgy. I finally tested negative on Friday afternoon, but still have a cough and feel tired, so I decided to give the event a miss.
Great to hear that you had a good weekend Mark. It is a great venue and I hope that it grows.

I would definitely echo all of Mark's comments. It was a fabulous event, clearly a great deal of money had been put into it and they're keen for it to really become "something". The track itself, as Mark said, looked fairly benign at first glance, but was definitely one of those "drop the clutch and hang on!" wild rides that are so entertaining to drive. Extremely challenging but as a result very rewarding, all of the drivers seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The setting at Thirlstane Castle is very impressive and picturesque, a perfect setting for an event like this and Sir Jackie is able to bring in some big partners like main sponsor Rolex and having a V10 screamer F1 Red Bull doing regular demo runs (Donuts) anyone?
If I'm lucky enough to have an entry accepted next year I'd love to be there again, maybe bring my mini instead of the Nova? Who knows?
Malcolm.

There are some cracking pictures there!
Thanks for the heads up. Adam & I had a chat with the photographer at the weekend, he was a thoroughly nice bloke.
