We have built a new building around our old building then added a second floor.

We will be storing over 70 minis in this space so in the future we will have plenty of minis to restore and sell to customers if there are no minis around anymore to put all these parts on, whats going to a happen???

We aim to have 200 minis in storage before 2013 should keep us busy for a long time, we already have 1000's of parts in our stores.

To protect our future and supply parts well into the future.
If your looking for parts for your classic mini or restoration PM me I am sure I can help. Mark.

ULTIMATE CLASSIC MINI SCALEXTRIC TRACK

OMG!!!! ITS A BIG JOB!!! ITS MASSIVE - Tonight I laid out some Scalextric track and planned the circuit for the 4 lane track is 73ft x 15ft The Maguire Straight is 68ft long. "We need 280 standard straights !!!!!"

The track will pass along the seat cross member of a full race Mini bodyshell which will be suspended on steel girders bridging a 12x14ft hole.

We still have some space to spare so may get bigger yet. Tomorrow is a big day as we will be putting the 1st Mini upstairs, eventually there will be over 70 up there in storage.

Join our massive Scalextric open day & race event page on Saturday Feb 4th 2012. If you love Minis you cant miss this.

When James May built the biggest Scalextric track in the world @ nearly three miles long, on the site of Britain's oldest grand prix track at Brooklands. He contacted Scalextric and they sent him boxes of brand new track. I am attempting to build a massive four lane with Vintage track some of it 40 years old, armed with a test lamp, and old screw driver, sandpaper, wirewool and a old cleaning stone, 4 vintage controllers, power pack and a block of wood to help bend the kinks out of the track.

Bet James May did have all these problems to deal with. lol

I will get there..............................!!!!!!

I built a pretty decent Le Mans setup in my garage one year as it happened to be empty at the time of a Le Mans barbecue (getting pissed on little bottles of beer, building a beer wall, and following the live race on the web). The garage is about 5.5m x3.5m and It was full!

I had a huge stash of old track and it was a constant battle chasing poor connections, so I soldered wires across the connections - perfect. Most faults appeared to be at 'cross over' sections from (bitter) memory

I had a couple of old control units but the modern , well '80s is modern in comparison to the rest of it, plug in power packs are far better. We were racing a GT40 against Mini clubman.

Gave half the track to my nephew. His dad was delighted. My sister in law, less so!

UPDATE:

Were hoping to add another track which will be a drag/oval really long with bank curve each end should be fun.

I am going to put a smaller 2 lane track downstairs on a table.

Kids are welcome.

Today I have been out and plotted a small mini run around 30mins on some of the great roads around us.

Hope some of you guys can come over.

I have made a few changes this week, we now have two tracks one is up and running now fully, its is inspired by the FIAT test track in Turin. It was great today to un-boxed my Italian Job Scalextric cars and give them a blast, thankfully no damage to them. Sport Track designed cars are a bugger on old classic track, got them running after a lot of messing and swapping pieces of track around. Still got around 100 peices to clean for main track, need to get it running. yet ;(

Enjoy the updated pics.

Every one is welcome and if you wish to bring your own scalextric cars down your welcome its a RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG EVENT!!! All models welcome not just Minis.

Hopefully Friday afternoon I will have the main track running, got a 14x12ft hole to fill and around 100 pieces of track to clean and lay down and a rear subframe to change. No pressure then. Also a drift track to sort Saturday morning.
