Toby's appear to on an original frogeye manifold. The Alexander one will not work on the frogeye as the carbs hit the bonnet. I think that the Alexander one sweeps up more sharply to clear the mini bulkhead.

Is there more than one style of Alexander manifold? I'm referring to the finned ones, I realise there's a smooth one as well. I was monitoring ebay a couple of years ago when several were advertised over a few months. I noticed that some of them seemed to have a steeper angle than others. I bought one for myself eventually and found that it has quite a steep angle when compared to the sprite one that came with my H1s. I haven't tried to fit it yet but was worried I may have ended up with one for a different model, but it sounds like I may be OK. I'll try to take some pictures of it. It looks a bit different to the one shown on Mark's website.

I only know of one finned version of the Alex H1 manifold. This does have a pretty steep angle & does fit under a mini bonnet.

Mine seems to be the same as the one on Mark's site, it has the same casting number. But I've noticed that they don't all seem to have the vacuum take-off plug in the side. For example the £395.00 ebay one below.



I mocked mine up on a head and also tried to align it into the engine bay, and it looks like it should fit, but there's barely any room for air cleaners and that was with the black plastic insulators left off, which would add another 15mm or so to the length. Its much longer than the Cooper manifold I have.
