I have read somewhere that those choke linkages are cooper work linkages?

Yes, I have those choke levers on my H4s (and also on pairs of H2s and a pair of H1s on my Frogeye Sprite)

Great so I don't need to change them to the other number? What manifold is everyone using I was thinking for getting the maniflow L149.

Yes I use Maniflow manifolds with my H4s. If you phone Maniflow to place your order you can ask them to modify the carb facing flange if you want. They will also ask you for the size of the intake ports on your head.

The standard L149 carb flange is designed for both H4 and HS4 mountings. I got them to simply use H4 pattern flanges on mine.

I did have a nice period aftermarket cast alloy one, which worked well, but sold it ages ago. I pretty much only use Maniflow manifolds these days except where originality is required.

Great thanks for that. Isi possible for you to post a photo of your setup? I think my carbs might be missing something. Thanks

These should help: https://mk1-performance-conversions.co. ... itting.pdf and https://mk1-performance-conversions.co.uk/h4_parts.pdf

It's worth noting that some of these fittings - choke bracket arch etc. are standard on Frogeye Sprites so easy to obtain from the relevant suppliers.
