Speedwell Alloy Head Identification

Hello, I've been veiwing this forum for a while now and as I am just starting to restore a 1966 Austin Cooper I brought last year I thought it was about time I started asking some stupid questions

I purchased a Speedwell Alloy head of Ebay earlier this year and was wondering if anyone knows what the numbers stamped into it mean :-
C009 stamped next to the temp sender hole,
CS43 stamped upside down on the back edge above the bypass outlet and
12 28MH stamped the right way up again on the back edge above the bypass outlet.

The numbers don't seem to tie up with any in the Speedwell literature so any ideas would be very helpfull.

That's a clubman head.

Thanks Ricardo - can you tell that from the C009 number or one of the others? I was expecting to find something like the part number - CH20 or CH200.

We can tell it's a clubman head from the C above the 009 which is the head number.

Yup, Clubman head Number 9 (A very, very early head) all the other numbers & stampings are pretty much irrelevant. Foundry batch numbers etc.
