Re: Just a nice period picture
Well....... You've got the A34 heading left and right and a WL registration and then the A415 heading towards Marcham or Dorchester/Berinsfield. The people all look pretty pissed off, married, 2 kids and skint. Car untaxed.......... so I'd say that it was St Helens Street in Abingdo.
Wifey just told me that the building at the end is The Plough pub and was owned by her school and uni friends parents. The Plough is still there and the A34 main trunk road ran straight in front of it - as per the signs. She says it was the very early 60's. Nice picture

Looking at the oil drips on the steps me thinks someone broke the casing on the sump.

Can't miss that one WMU. That's High Street in Oxford.... Known locally as '...the High'. Ballioll College on the right. Car heading towards its birthplace, Cowley!

Re: Just a nice period picture
I would say smoke with blue grey trim.
Also is that an Alexander badge on the boot?
Like the wheel trims and whitewalls, very Rock 'n' Roll!
