Modifying a Brake regulator

I have a new rear brake regulator and I need to Make it adjustable. Like this ,

Has anyone don't this before and could give me a few pointers. Thread size.etc And any other things to concider. Photos would be great.

I don't want to just drill a hole a tap it out just in case there a few things I should make sure of. Plus it's part of the brake system so I don't want it failing.

I am sure one issue of Mini MAgazine had mentioned this conversion before, many moons ago!
I want to convert my brake valve as well, cause the Mini always failed her MOT with under required rear brake pressure results!
I will bypass the regulator valve when test and put it back to normal position when passed! when the reg valve is fitted!

You drill a hole in the back and tap it. I have had one apart and that side should not be filled with fluid. Take the big nut off and have a look inside it's very simple. I think there is a dimple in the middle SOS it should be easy to get centre.

Remember, that once you modify it, it will not fit back in the original subframe position.

Dean - do you want it to increase or decrease the rear brake effort?

I am rebuilding still, and want my brake adjustable. I have 7.5" discs , and 19mm rear cylinders, and I want to be able to adjust my rear brakes just in case they lock the rears or don't work at all.

It will just save time, over changing the rear cylinders. , much easier

I have that book so I have a look in there, it sound quite straight forward. But some times there are things to watch out for plus I did not want to drill it wrong and have to buy a new one.
