I’ve always liked that car. I wonder what the reserve is…?

Lovely. A very subtle "upgraded" car. Very much a period piece isn't it. I'd be proud to own that.

Why do they always turn up when you've just filled the empty garage space with something else ?. I'd still be skeptical about the condition inside the sill sections though, unless it's been in a dehumidifed garage for 56 years. Nonetheless what a nice original car.

That's Smoke Grey. Bermuda Blue wasn't available on them at that stage ;)
Bermuda Blue is quite similar but brighter - the colour of Police "Panda" cars.

It looks a corker doesn't it. A Mk1 MG must be a rare thing now - it is HALF A CENTURY ago that we were all pulling the engines out of the rusty ones to put in our Minis :o

I concur great site

i was looking through it and thought this was cheap not a mini
But then once reading the description i can see why it's cheap Cat B
Should have been broken or crushed
Doesnt seem to have had an mot since 2010
Hope no one gets stung with it, looks like it is a no go as far as a V5 is concerned

I have heard of people obtaining a V5 on a Cat B but i think this one is fu#~ed for a V5, looks like it been kicking about for a decade at least.

Looking at that S African 1275 GTS am I right I’m saying that’s a Morris Ital A+ so can’t be it’s original engine?

It is the correct engine, South African cars used those blocks with the filter screwed directly to them. There's a great guide here to the 1275 GTS https://classicregister.com/id-guides/i ... d-mini-gts
