Some driving doubts

Hello,

I recently sold my MK3 mini in order to afford a MK1 1960 mini morris. Along with a lot of the features i like from early minis is the rounded speedo, which I plan to keep with no other gauges as original. This of course means not knowing the motor temp and the oil pressure.

Since my soon to arrive mini is the first one I own and drive with the rounded speedo, I wanted to ask for some advise as to distinguish when the motor is running well and when it should be refresh and all together stopped, besides of course a massive smoke just in font of my face.

Sorry I'm just a mini fan but a lousy driver and mechanical, and passing from a Mk3 with the binnacle to the rounded made me just wonder this kind of stuff.
