BRSCC - A Hard Days Fright 1964 (Roscoe Films)

Post by mab01uk »

BRSCC - A Hard Days Fright 1964 (with bonus video after "the end" ) uploaded to YouTube 1st Sep 2021.
"This is another Period Roscoe Films Production of BRSCC racing cars in 1964.
Famous drivers and cars all racing and crashing during 1964 at circuits that then had little or no safety protection.
This is dedicated to all the volunteer marshals and the BMRMC (BMMC) without whom our racing wouldn't be possible."

Similar excellent films by David Roscoe are also available for 1961, 62, 63 & 67 on Youtube. There are also a number of films about the VSCC from them too.

All wonderful!

An interesting article on the man himself.

I don’t think that is a Hornet Martin I think it’s that freaky Speedwell Team car that Cannadine raced made to look like one with hideous wings added on the back etc. . That’s Trickett’s car in the top pic at Combe but contrary to the commentary the car taking the winners flag is Jeff Goodliff!

Yes a Viking Hornet, so a soft top with no cage!

Spotted Tony Rutt’s Surf Blue 1071 with the yellow stripes/wheels in the last Brands race, that car now lives in the US, still racing! Talking of wheels, spot the wide rose petal wheels on David Alexander’s Top Gear Racing Mini that rolled. Same wheels that first appeared on the Cooper Twini at Goodwood in 1963!
