Even I'd turn that one down Gordon
Shame to see it end up like that though

Not a Mini but anyone else think this Austin Seven is a beaut?
Maybe it's the filter effects of the photography. Like a Tinder photo, nothing like the real thing.
I want to sit in those seats.

The number of amazingly original A7's that crop up is staggering!
Adam has his nose well in in the A7 world & some of the untouched cars he sees are staggering.
That A7 is a bit late for my liking, they had got very heavy by then, without a real upgrade of the already wheezy little engine. The Morris Minor was a much better car all round.

That A7 is actually a "Big 7" which is a bit of a different animal and nothing like as desirable as a traditional Austin 7. That particular car has been for sale for ages and clearly isn't tempting anybody. As Mark says, the later cars do not have such a following. The Morris 8 looks in better condition and has more going for it. I'd be tempted by that!

Bit like the Mk3 S and the 1275 GT then. People eventually love them as much as the early versions.Old English White wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 1:02 pm That A7 is actually a "Big 7" which is a bit of a different animal and nothing like as desirable as a traditional Austin 7. Just need to drop a V8 in it, trick suspension and some fat wheels but keep the patina and interior as it is
I just got taken by the look of it. Nice lines.

I think an MX-5 engine, box and rear axle would be enough. And stick the front oily bits of a Herald to update the steering and suspension there.
Never understood why people use arty pictures when trying to sell something, it's not a photo contest, you want to sell it.

Nothing to do with Mini's but but fairly relevant if you are a disabled Citroen owner, possibly interested in a seriously distant return on investment for your desendents.
I think the lesson here is never throw out your rubbish and think big!

It gets worse, maybe it's a money laundering thing!
I simply do not understand, is it possible that by their very nature, every tax disc ever issued is unique?.

I’ve just spoken to Simon epsum, the previous owner of the Cooper s since the late 80s early 90s before Rolex bob purchased it from him in 2018 to find any history on the car, I don’t know what went off with Simon and Bob but as soon as I mentioned it to Simon, he said He had a really bad experience with bob and I’m not willing to discuss anything about the car or bob so back to square one, any information on the history of the car would be appreciated

That is a real shame!
I had a few dealings with Simon Empson a few years ago & suspect that if he saw a profit in talking to you, you would have had trouble shutting him up.
You may have more luck if you contact our member Simon776 via PM.
Good luck,
M
