I had an entertaining night in Chester talking to Russel on this rally, I’ll find the photos.

L54 CVP is featured in October 'CooperWorld' magazine....re-registered D555GRX and entered for the Rallye Monte Carlo in 1996 by BMH for Tony Dron and Alistair Douglas resulting in a 2nd in class, 67th overall after numerous issues. Brigden Coulter Motorsport then sold the car and it was detuned by Bill Richards losing its dog-gear box to make it more user friendly to drive for Don Farr/Dave Tippett of the MCR. The final competitive outing for the car was under Peter Barker's ownership when he and Willy Cave used the car for the 2005 Lombard Revival rally where they finished 27th overall. The Mini is now owned by Jim Wirtz in Luxembourg.
