Maybe it's just a silly mistake? The seller states that the car is a Super Deluxe (which it is) and they were not introduced until later so it is probably a '63ish car? He's also committed the sin of blanking the registration number so we can't do a DVLA check  . Nice looking car though - the originality slightly spoiled - for me anyway - by the later replacement panels.

Quite liked the look of this………. then saw welding in the boot, which raises a question or two

Whilst looking at the rippled boot floor I noticed the battery was free to roam around. :o

The incorrect front panel, the upside down door panels, the lack of overriders and corners bars etc etc also make you wonder how well it is all finished off.........

And a later speedo - mileage invalid.

The 'timewaster' probably viewed it, realised it was a heap of shit and walked.

Now that is nice. Just remove the chrome add ons, sort the grille out and it's bang on.

Indeed - a post 1965 shell - the door on the passenger side has a grommet where the chrome pip for the later handle would have been and its on hydro looking at the engine shot. Its fair to say that "the base unit may have been exchanged", along with the seats etc....

A boot floor pic behind the tanks would be good to see. Shell dating wise, the sun visor change came just after hydro was introduced, so late 64 at the earliest. Our 64 had a replacement door early in its life, so has a grommet in the hole. I do hope a purchaser understands these things before parting with a substantial lump.
