Well done Andrew.
Stunning restoration. I am so glad you have taken it out for a spin after so much hard work.
That feeling is indescribable.
Chris.

hi
i bet it would cost a bundle to post that even in 2 parcels the postie would get a hernia just looking at it
i wonder if anyone took it seriously it is certianly ? a project that would take some thought
and a few panels and some rolls of mig wire

Re: My new project - 1965 Morris Cooper S - HOY 500D
Well the mammoth project has more or less come to an end, somewhat quicker than I originally anticipated. Covid did have its advantages for me in that I was working 4 on 4 off for a few months last year which gave me much more time to work on it and 17 weeks furlough this year also sped up proceedings.
Only a few small jobs to do now .. door kick plates once I find some very good useable originals, door pocket bottom liners, one sun visor and rear view mirror (on its way soon). Also the speedo to sort out.
Will also be fitting the Speedwell rear ARB shortly, more because it was on the car when bought than for any effectiveness. I've made new drop links and modified some Mazda MX5 rear ARB clamps/bushes to suit the original clamp hole centres.
As always there are areas that I could have improved on, some I knew about and some were too late by the time I noticed them but overall I am very happy with how it has come out, especially considering where it was done.
So, here are some pics of the finished car. Hopefully I will bring it to either Blyton or Beaulieu at some point, once I have bought a trailer ... yeah, I know I should drive it ...
Rather fittingly the interior pictures show off my Gordon Spice steering wheel .. RIP Gordon
I'd like to thank EVERYONE who has helped me on this project, be it restoration or technical advice, supply of parts, both NOS and used. Also for the remanufactured items by some of our really talented members. Too many people to list but you all know who you are
