Ball joint rubber hats?? Suppliers
Hi. Does anybody know where I can buy a batch of ball joint rubber hats? Not sure of the correct name for them but they are the things that prevent grit getting into the swivel joint. Whenever I dismantle the front hub assemblies I split them as I split the ball joint taper. Nothing wrong with the swivel joints as such. I have been doing this for years and I thought it was time I took action...

Original rubbers in good condition are soft enought to be pulled over the arm end,out of the way.rolesyboy wrote: Whenever I dismantle the front hub assemblies I split them as I split the ball joint taper.
I use a screwdriver to do this. Inferior rubber split/crack.

If you use a balljoint spiltter of the scissor type you won't cut the rubber boot.
