Thanks.
While removing the rear number plate hinge , I've discovered some original silver paint! This is gonna help a lot to choose the new silver paint.

Nice story and history, looking forward to updates.
You should really have carefully removed that dust and sold it on eBay as "genuine barn find dust" it would increase the value of some of the basket cases so described.

That was quite a light, bright silver originally wasn't it. Looks as if it was painted with silver Hammerite subsequently . Still, it probably preserved it to a degree.......
Marvelous project. Looking forward to watching the progress.

I've done more work on the car. It should be ready soon for sodablasting.
Some panels will be repaired and the following panels will need replacement:
- complete floor pan with sills
- front panel
- rear valance
- rear wheel arches
- left and right lower panels
(And probably more...)

The body, doors, bonnet and boot lid are now ready for sodablasting.
It will be done in January.
I wish you all a merry Christmas with loads of rare and NOS parts under the tree.

That's a good clean surface to work from. At least all the weaknesses are exposed now.
Will you prime it now or is it being worked on in an environment sufficiently dry not to matter at this stage?

The jig is bolted on the rear shocks mounts and on the parcel shelf. I'll post a picture when the body will be back in the garage.
