They seem to be pointing this out in the pictures without saying it in the text - looking for a get out clause, maybe?

Wiper motor mount is a blatant

No. I think that most auction houses simply haven't got a clue :(

Despite the faults I’m surprised it didn’t fetch more!

The problem with a car like that one is that unless it’s super original ( doesn’t appear so on the surface) there’s so much money to spend to make it a nice one, including sourcing a correct engine, speedo, servo, etc etc and then sorting the body out which could spiral out of control. Could easily end up a pretty expensive car unless it’s left alone and just used as it is.

This stalled at about £25k yesterday! Will cost a bomb to make competitive, like any FIA Mini does, but I thought it would do a lot better than that.

At an auction near me, very rare South African Wolseley 1000, in what can only be described as used and abused original condition. Pity it has lost half of its original seat materials, but I'm sure that tex vinyl looks a lot like old Mercedes or VW stuff.

Also in the same auction a restored 1275 GTS rolling shell. Note plenty of black stuff under the arches, could be hiding some horrors. Also note the inside of the roof, a tad wobbly one could say.

I can see some very ropey patches on the sills, wouldn't fancy digging into that mess (again!!!)

And this would explain it :
Offside Inner Body or chassis has an inadequate repair, seriously affecting its strength within 30cm of the body mountings inner sill to floor full length of car (6.1.B.2) Dangerous

Hope the bidders have done their homework.
You can't polish a turd but you can cover it in underseal.

Owned/sold by Jonathan Buncombe - there's a name from the past. Used to race for Richard Longman iirc.

This came as a surprise!
Toyota Corolla, previous insurance write (minor but it sticks), 93k miles
It is a gt with a twin cam engine but I had no idea it would be so expensive!

Must be long wheelbase week… here is a Mk2 1969 build metal trim Austin Countryman with what looks like a gold-seal Mk3 Cooper S engine, dizzy, carbs etc. Also has the 4kw “cold climate” snail type heater blower, and upside-down door cards
