Thurs was a great day up at Surbiton apart from the weather on the way up
I was asked if I could take the van and thats the first time I got it up there
Very memorable day. Alvaro the owner of the workshop is keen to keep the
history going. Van was in good company and we retired to THE pub round the corner

What is that little red and white step-thru moped thinggy, just visible between the red mini and the citrus estate. I think I now where one of them is...... Is that an old M20 Triumph too?

That was a lot of money for a 997/998 Cooper in 1981. Most were sub £500 and plenty of ropey ones for £250.

But John Cooper leant on it so that adds a premium.
