Front Brake Hose Fitting Clips

Help! When fitting the front brake cross over hose, there is 2 clips to locate the line, should it be fitted under the subframe rearward edge or the line on top of the subframe beam?
I found there is various types of fitting methods!
Single line/ dual line circuits! :?:

The single line systems have the pipe clipped under the top section of the subframe.
-So it's nicely protected.
