I went for tubes with my 4.5 cosmics. ultimately i think they have to make you aware but your choice...IslandBlue wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 2:02 pmThat looks great, thanks, Peter sent me some pictures of them on D1s off the car, I'll post a couple up later.
Did you use inner tubes out of interest? Pretty sure I've not got tubes with my 145 Falkens on the D1s.

As far as I am concerned, it is always sensible to fit tubes to old alloys.

Just wondering, perhaps I'm dense here, but what do the tubes make you have to be aware of?
For what it's worth I'm going to be fitting a set of Blockley Tubes in my 4.5" Firsat steels. As others said, no safety ridge for running tubeless even if the tyres are designed to be able to run tubeless.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Re: Introduction of a new 145/10 tyre
Thanks although looks is the right word, it was restored in the mid-80s on a budget with a few running repairs over the years. It's solid and good fun but needs sorting out properly at some point. The scabby gutters and OEW roof (back to snowberry) are next on the improvement list.
