radiator shroud on inner fender

Before I got my 61 countryman the shroud was removed. The car has a 1275s engine fitted. Was the shroud removed for the latter engine to be installed? Can I reinstall the shroud and still use the 1275s.

The 1275 can be installed (and removed) with the shroud in place but its somewhat finicky. It is possible the fender was replaced at one time and the shroud was not transferred over. The shroud is really not necessary. Later model Minis got along fine without it.

With the right combination of upper and lower Radiator Brackets and the right lower cowling, you should be able to get it to fit without issues.

They did on the Cooper S after all.

You also need to sort the fan spacers too.
