1967 cooper s heater intake hose

Post by 1967coopers1972 »

Any help appreciated, restoring 1967 1275 Cooper S (late 1967) I would like to put the correct heater intake hose in place but after reading previous comments my head is a bit of a mush, should it be plastic or wire and rubber, should it go all the way to the front grille or stop at the inner wing webbing piece, or should it reduce after exiting the bulkhead towards the grille, ?

For 1967 S it has a plastic molded ‘gauze’ 4” intake pop riveted behind the grille, nylon offset reducer, 2” convoluted plastic pipe to the bulkhead, nylon offset reducer near the inner wing reinforcer, then 4” rubber over wire down through the bulkhead to the heater. Wire clips at all the joins.
