Like the drivers seat, have a frame for one of them hanging up in the garage, just need to find the cover!

I just logged in to share the same one! Looks great and at the moment seems to be at a fair price for such a project. Wonder what heights it will reach...
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Blimey, it really is. Shame you need to be a Swedish national to register to bid. I guess it's from seized property? Plus, would you buy it sight unseen?

Ah, forgot that bit. UK or England, whatever you prefer!
Actually thought it was you as you originally posted about this S'
But if you were intending to buy it then you wouldn't post about it, if that makes sense.
Hoping it will stay here, so many mini's been exported over the years.
Oh well, we will know soon.

Re: At The Auctions
Just ended at 250000:- Swedish Zloty
Something like £23-24000 ?
Way beyond my pocketmoney, which is good as it means there wont be no need selling off my ultra rare 4,5" S' offset Cosmic's.
It was apperently mentioned on Fb that the shell and overall apperance was better than the pictures suggested.
Hope it doesnt get molested into a supershiny car with everything on it new.

Re: At The Auctions
Great price achieved for this '63 Rally Cooper.

I'm contemplating selling my '62 this year and starting to think that CollectingCars may be the way to do it.
The seller gets the full bid price and deals direct with the buyer so no possibility of the auction company going down with your money.

Re: At The Auctions
That is a very attractive little Mini. Reached a good price didn't it. Probably not very original!

Re: At The Auctions
This type of professional on line auction with no seller fees seems to be getting good results.Lakeland997 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:58 pm Great price achieved for this '63 Rally Cooper.

Re: At The Auctions
What a beautiful Cooper!
I'd consider selling a kidney or my kids for that.

Re: At The Auctions
I've been looking at them as well, only issue is they charge you £200 to send a photographer out, not sure it's worth that tbh, unless the car is worth a huge amount ofcourse.Lakeland997 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 24, 2021 8:58 pm Great price achieved for this '63 Rally Cooper.

It’s a lovely colour but a 1970 should have:
(a) thé bonnet prop on the other side
(b) no holes / grommets in the inner wings
(c) hydrolastic suspension
(d) chrome eyeball air vents
(e) a heater control panel with a bright metal surround
(f) a 6500 red line Rev counter
(g) a cumulus grey switch panel
(h) veltone carpets
(I) vinyl on the rear companion bins
(j) stitched rather than electrically welded pocketing on the seats
(k) a heated rear window switch under the dash rail on the drivers side
(l) 10 inch rostyle steel wheels
(m) a body number on the front slam panel
(n) BL Kangol magnet seat belts or early static Kangol belts with the twin buckle mounted to the rear tunnel in front of the ashtray.
