From the German motor magazine "Auto, Motor und Sport" 1970. I was 13 years old then and got the magazine from my uncle. And I knew that some day I would race a Mini.

I'll try to translate the text as good as I can.
"The Golden Oil-Chequebook for the best Racing Youngsters
For the best 25 newcomers of the season free Veedol motor oil.
We call the young lincense holders. The ambitious. The idealists. Those without a works car. And without hangers-on. Those who do everything on their own. Veedol donate 25 Golden Oil Chequebooks for the best 25 youngsters of the season.
This means free Veedol motor oil. For the whole 1971 season. Free oil with which Ernst Furtmayr, Herbert Schulze, Siegfried Spiess and many others have made their careers."
This ad must have been before the 6h ETC race at the Ring because on the last lap of this race Herbert Schulze (by the way a Berlin Alfa Romeo and British Leyland dealer) lost his life in an accident in one of the works Alfa GTAm. I attended this race with my father and took a photo of this car shortly before the end of the race. See Frank de Jongs Touring Car page for the photo.
